"Your Stairway Lies on the Whispering Wind...."

Led Zeppelin are an English heavy-rock band formed in 1968 by guitarist Jimmy Page. Known worldwide for their hit song "Stairway to Heaven," Led Zeppelin have definitely gone down as one of the most influential rock bands in rock 'n roll history. They reached the pinnacle of their success in the mid-1970s, just before the death of drummer John Bonham.

Their Presence album, though not their best work, reached platinum status in sales, and it was during production of this album that Jimmy Page was accused of using heroin.

Led Zeppelin were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame on January 10th, 1995 by Aerosmith's Steven Tyler (vocalist) and Joe Perry (guitarist).
